In late 2003 a group of friends heard of a request to raise money to provide a wheelchair for a local child who was in urgent need of one. It was then that they had the idea to adapt their own social gatherings into a small fund raising group which would be able to help similar local needs. The initial event was enjoyable and proved so popular that FOGG was born with the aim "Supporting LOCAL Children and young peoples projects".

FOGG - Definition - A group of friends who enjoy socialising and meeting people, and get together to organize various social occasions, which raise small sums of cash for worthy local causes. The emphasis is on LOCAL causes which benefit community projects where possible in respect of young people or the elderly.

The first FOGG event was held in 2004 and the events still continue, we seek no publicity hence the lack of names but hope that we can continue to help the local community. To see who has benefited see our beneficiary list page.

The purpose of this web site to so we can communicate with you our supporters and sponsors, without whom FOGG would not exist so thank you all. Also to allow you to see pictures of previous FOGG events and check up on up and coming events that are being arranged. Also to act as a way for worthwhile projects to seek funding from us.

The FOGG group also have a marquee that we use at the summer BBQ, this is available for hire for your own event our volunteers will come around and erect the structure for you and put the roof and the sides on, on the appropriate day as well as taking it down after the event. We ask a minimum donation of £75 for this facility, which goes towards our donations funds. All that we ask is that you underwrite any damage done to the marquee.
